Nostro piano strategico

Imparare alla St. Thomas’s

St. Thomas’s will continue to enrich its academic programs by strengthening curriculum and pedagogy in both the Early Years and Primary sections of the school. Through regular review, research and discussion the school will examine and adapt all of our learning programs ensuring that they align with our departmental and school-wide mission and vision. These initiatives will be supported with significant, targeted professional development for faculty utilizing outside and internal expertise.

Review and Develop Curriculum
  •     Conduct a comprehensive curriculum review at the end of every school year.
  •     With this in mind, continually reflect on our curriculum in order to improve next years planning.
Develop existing and build new programs
  •     Develop the after school program by offering art, drama, and dance to a larger community; and by providing more English language learning courses.
  •     Explore potential of a Middle School through discussions, business plans and recruitment research.
  •     Incorporate a variety of strategies to provide differentiated instruction.
Creation of policies through collaboration by teachers, parents and students
  •     Behaviour, Language, Behaviour policies and followed by others as the need arises

Il nostro staff

St. Thomas’s aspires to recruit and retain diverse faculty and staff who prepare today’s students for tomorrow’s world in the most professional of manners.
The goals of this strategic plan require a commitment to maintaining a positive workplace culture with continued professional development. Our goal is to make St. Thomas’s the employer of choice among independent schools in our community.
Not only is this a financial commitment, but also a promise to attend to the individual needs of our faculty and staff. In return, active engagement from all employees and reduced turnover is expected to strengthen the St. Thomas’s experience and deliver on our mission for every student.

  • Expand opportunities for faculty and staff to interact both professionally and socially.
  • Formulate a competitive salary and benefits program to recruit and retain top talent.
  • Collaborate with faculty to establish a compensation philosophy that incentivizes outstanding teaching.
  • Embed professional development into all aspects of employment.
  • Support the achievement of subject specific and advanced degrees.
  • Enhance current mentoring and coaching offerings.

Il nostro complesso scolastico

St. Thomas’s campus provides significant outdoor space and opportunity for educational experiences unavailable to most school communities. The goals of this strategic plan require that we examine, enhance, and expand our existing facilities in order to meet our current and future needs.
This will require fiscal discipline, extensive planning, and an unwavering commitment to upgrading our facilities for the benefit of our students. Redesign age and subject appropriate collaborative classrooms informed by department-specific needs.
Create flexible workspaces for diverse types of learning. Embed more technology engagement opportunities in classrooms.

Come ci finanziamo

Nonetheless, the challenges ahead and the aspirations of this strategic plan require that St. Thomas’s look with fresh eyes at its financial resources to deliver the promises of this strategic plan.

Achieving these goals requires steadfast leadership at the Board of Partners and administrative levels as well as broad and generous participation from the community.
